TPO Sponsored Events
The Miami-Dade TPO administers events focused on coordinating with transportation partners to investigate ways to implement safer infrastructure in Miami-Dade County and the Southeast Florida region.
Events bring together storytelling, global expertise, and policy dialogue to help better understand what works and how lessons can be applied. Through discussions, participants learn from national and international leaders who have successfully transformed their transportation systems, creating environments that are safe, accessible, and integrated into everyday life.
These exchanges serve as platforms for promoting safer communities by highlighting best practices and successful designs that have been proven to reduce fatalities and injuries. Events also initiate vital discussions among partners, TPO Board Members, policymakers, global experts, and industry leaders exploring how similar solutions can be implemented in Miami-Dade County and the region.
Student Programs
On November 14, 2024 the Miami-Dade TPO Governing Board unanimously adopted a motion to promote educational opportunities and exchanges with the Miami-Dade County School Board.
Since this adoption, Miami-Dade TPO has been collaborating with Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) on various projects such as the creation of the TPO’s mascots, producing Public Service Announcements (PSA), and developing an educational platform teaching kids about how the transportation planning process can expand mobility options for the region.
